Five questions for your first lip consultation
A practical way to prepare for an informed conversation.
What is appropriate for me?
Ask the clinician to explain how your anatomy affects the options. Shape, proportions, existing asymmetry and tissue characteristics matter. A photograph can help express a preference but is not a promise of an achievable result.
What will the plan involve?
Discuss the proposed product, areas, amount, expected recovery and total cost. Ask whether a staged approach or a different option would be more appropriate. You do not need to decide on a quantity before the assessment.
What happens afterwards?
Ask how to follow the aftercare instructions, when any review is planned and who to contact if something seems wrong. Understand both common effects, such as swelling or bruising, and less common serious complications before consenting.
General information. This does not replace a medical assessment or provide an individual prescription.
